Ophelia Ren Bridal accessories are carefully designed and made to celebrate three key features.

  • Colour and finish

  • Signature designs

  • Semi-precious materials

    Colour and finish.

Ophelia Ren Bridal accessories guarantee a wide range of natural colours and textures. I have spent years trialing how and when to apply colours that add light and depth, ensuring every accessory is truly reflective of nature.

    Signature designs.

There are innumerable wedding accessories out there, but I have always been adamant that I don’t want to recreate them. My ornamental hairpins epitomise this ethos: there is simply nothing like them anywhere else and they can be worn however you wish. I also make the components I use in their manufacture, guaranteeing that if you buy from Ophelia Ren Bridal, you are buying an original, handcrafted accessory.

    Semi-precious materials.

Carefully selected beads and handcasted centres are what pull all my designs together. Having worked closely with gemologists and experienced the dynamics of a working lapidary, where diamonds and gemstones are tested and cut, selecting the right beads is important to me.

Did you know even the centre of my flowers are hand cast using semi-precious clay? It takes three days to make a mere handful - but the final product more than justifies the time spent.

What does this mean?

You get 100% handmade, signature designs using making methods that are supported by years of industry experience. Nothing is outsourced and everything is made in the UK by me, Michelle, a trained jeweller. I even have a PhD in all things jewellery.

“ I look for ways of capturing the natural vibrancy of flowers and translate this into something that can be worn. My designs are customisable and are made to be cherished - The perfect wedding day mementos.”

I am fascinated by the quality of design and work shown in something made by hand. To take a material and to craft it into something that can not only be useful but can be loved for years and years is what drives me as a jeweller, business owner, researcher and educator.

I have over two decades worth of experience in the jewellery field. I began my training as a jeweller, silversmith and goldsmith at the University of Creative Arts, before undertaking a masters and doctorate degree which focused on contemporary jewellery.

I have also worked as a jewellery designer in Hatton Garden, London, where I created bespoke engagement rings while working with precious and semi-precious stones in an in-house lapidary.

Come and join me.

My main focus is teaching - I have conducted over 13 years of classes, workshops, talks and conferences to college students and undergraduates in art and design.

Now a business owner and mother, I have channeled my experience and expertise in a different direction - though haven’t left teaching behind fully…

I continue to share my ideas and understanding of jewellery by delivering classes and workshops supporting students to produce beautifully crafted products.
