Below are some easy care recommendations to help look after your Ophelia Ren Bridal accessories and jewellery:

• Sprays and lotions, including soap, perfume, moisturiser and hairspray, may cause damage to the clay and metal components in your piece. It is best to remove your accessories while using any of these products. 

• Clean gently with a soft, lint-free cloth.

• Store your jewellery in a pouch or box. It is recommended to keep the box your accessories arrived in for storage and safekeeping.

• Avoid dropping your accessories onto hard surfaces as the impact can weaken or break them.

The polymer clay used to sculpt each flower is chosen for its lightness, durability and flexibility. Each piece is designed to withstand the pressures of being worn but due care and attention should still be taken to keep your design at its best.

Brass 

Ophelia Ren Bridal accessories use a combination of non-tarnish brass wire or gold plated wire which are both coated to protect the appearance of the metal. Bare brass is also used where heat is needed to shape or solder a piece. In these cases a wax is applied to enhance and retain the metal's shine for a longer-lasting finish.

Brass naturally tarnishes over time, even coated brass, and can take on a beautiful patina. However if you want to get back the shine of your piece, it is easy to clean and look after. Consider the following tips to care for your brass accessories:

• Brass components can be returned to their original appearance using a standard brass metal polish. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions before you begin, and ensure that polish is not applied to any clay.

• A natural alternative you might use is lemon and salt. Sprinkle salt into lemon juice and rub onto the brass surface, being careful not to make contact with clay components. Remove any lemon and salt residue with a damp cloth, then buff with a clean cloth to dry.
