Welcome! I’m Michelle, the heart and hands behind Ophelia Ren Bridal. With over 20 years of experience in jewellery, education, and design—backed by a BA, MA, and a PhD—I’m passionate about crafting bridal accessories that are as meaningful as they are beautiful.

Why I Create

My designs celebrate the natural vibrancy of flowers and translate this into something that can be worn. I believe in designs that are customisable and are made to be cherished—bringing delicate, floral elegance to your special day, while lasting as treasured mementos for years to come.

100% handmade by me, in the UK Each component is meticulously crafted—no outsourcing, ever. I hand-wire, hand-cast clay or select semi-precious bead centres, and assemble everything with care and intention.

Distinctive, nature-inspired designs. My flowers are flexible, lightweight, and show-stoppingly detailed, offering a signature alternative to mass-produced accessories.

Colour, texture & materials. I’ve spent years perfecting how to layer hues and textures for natural depth. Even my flower centres are hand-cast in semi‑precious clay, a process that takes up to three days for just a few components.

My Creative Journey

My training began in jewellery, silversmithing, and goldsmithing at the University of Creative Arts, with further degrees in three-dimensional design and contemporary jewellery. I also designed bespoke pieces in Hatton Garden, working alongside gemologists and lapidary professionals.

Also an Educator

For over 13 years, I’ve taught classes, run workshops, and spoken at conferences—now sharing my love for handmade craftsmanship through Ophelia Ren Studio. Whether you’re a bride, bridesmaid, or hobbyist, my Studio Boxes include materials, tools, and step-by-step guides to create your own bridal accessories at home.
